On Saturday evening, news broke that the Yankees would cut ties with the Trenton Thunder, their Double-A affiliate, who are relocating to Bridgewater next season.

Thunder owner Joseph Plumeri ripped into the Yankees organization for abruptly ending their partnership after 18 years together. In the statement, Plumeri called the action despicable and that it was a betrayal to the Thunder.

The Yankees spokesperson later said that they made this decision based on what they believed was best for the development of their young players.

I know personally I will miss seeing this player as a part of the Yankees organization.

Goodbye old friend, we will miss you.
