Monday Night Football: Patriots V.S. Jets Week 9

Monday night will be the first meeting between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets this season but there is not much on the line. The two teams are absolutely atrocious with a combined record of 2-13 on the season.

The Patriots have half of their defense injured or sitting at home because they opted out. On the other side of the ball, their offense is at least better than the Jets. Patriots wide receivers have combined for one receiving touchdown this season, and quarterback Cam Newton has fallen off a cliff since he has returned from the COVID-19 reserve list.

For the Jets, head coach Adam Gase has ruined the entire team, especially the offense. At least he stopped calling the plays a few weeks back. The Jets have failed to score more than 20 points in 7 of 8 games this year. Tough to win games when they don't score points; in Gase's defense, who do they have that is good?? There is elite quarterback Joe Flacco.....

This will be an unbearable game to watch. Both teams are below average, just like my fantasy teams, and expect nothing amazing from this matchup.

Reportedly out:

NE: Stephon Gilmore (CB), Lawrence Guy (DL), N’Keal Harry (WR), Ja’Whaun Bentley (LB)

NYJ: Blake Cashman (LB)

Final Prediction: Patriots 23 - Jets 13
